Zamora’s career began as a double life, graphic designer by day, illustrator by night. As an illustrator, outside of the occasional show and print sale, Zamora’s artwork remained primarily for herself in the form of intimate sketchbook drawings. As her work gained online popularity, so did Zamora’s confidence as an illustrator. At the end of 2017, she went full-time freelancer. In this time, she self-published a children’s book “Hey Zoey! Get Off Your Phone!” and worked on a range of commercial work, most notably a mural for Spotify’s 2018 Miami Pride celebration.
Zamora in 2019 continues to combine all the skills she’s acquired as a multi-hyphenated artist, entrepreneur, and creative consultant. Her last creative consultation was for Holyrad Studio’s Kickstarter, that successfully raised over $50,000 for a second location.
In addition, Zamora hosts and curates an annual birthday show featuring local New York artists and friends. The yearly show is distinguished from others that require artists to pay a submission fee or forfeit a percentage of sale. Zamora feels strongly that artists need to create opportunities for other artists. Especially those that connect artists to buyers directly without feeling subjected to financial obstacles.
